WEILL CENTER ANNOUNCES CRYSTAL DEKKER AS MARKETING AND EVENTS MANAGER

The Weill Center for the Performing Arts, a 1,150-seat live event venue located in the Downtown Sheboygan’s growing arts and entertainment district, announced Crystal Dekker as marketing and events manager. Dekker fills this newly created role as the organization continues to celebrate its 20th Anniversary Season and plans for the future.

“We are thrilled to welcome Crystal to our growing team,” said Katy Glodosky, executive director. “Crystal has years of experience in marketing campaign management, a passion for live events, and a proud commitment to our community.”

As marketing and events manager, Dekker will oversee organizational branding, update and monitor all communications platforms, execute strategic marketing and advertising plans, and assist with publicity efforts. In addition, Dekker will manage with logistics for the nearly 100 events at the theater each season.

Dekker joins the team after most recently serving as director of Young Professionals of Fond du Lac and assistance director of membership for Envision Greater Fond du Lac. In that role, she created and promoted programming for area young professionals and cultivated relationships with business partners. Prior, Dekker managed sponsorship activations, community partnerships, and media relations as public relations coordinator at Van Horn Automotive Group.

Dekker is also active in the community as Chamber Ambassador for the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce, past board member for the Elkhart Lake Chamber of Commerce, and board member for Firefest 2020 - a Fourth of July fireworks experience for Sheboygan County during the COVID pandemic. In 2020, Dekker was nominated for Sheboygan County’s Best Under 40 Awards and Sheboygan County Chamber Ambassador of the Year. Dekker is a Sheboygan native and graduated from Lakeshore Technical College with honors.
